Hanga-Aro-Rau is seeking professionals in the engineering trades industry to share their expertise and knowledge to help develop new skill standards for our current qualifications.

As the workforce development council for manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, we have been working with the engineering trades sector to understand current and future needs. The result is a project to develop new skill standards for our existing qualifications to meet the needs of our diverse engineering industry.

We need industry experts to give feedback on developing these new skill standards; the planned scope is as follows:

Qualifications of intended skill standards are:

• • New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 3)
  • New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Trade) (Level 4)
  • New Zealand Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Trade) (Level 4)

We need voices, big and small! Your voice will help ensure these skill standards are fit for purpose now and in the future.  Because what matters to industry matters to us.
