Lumana’i o Tangata Moana Hawke’s Bay Regional Talanoa Insights

Following the launch of the Lumana’i o Tangata Moana Action Plan at Parliament, Hanga-Aro-Rau held a talanoa in Hawke’s Bay to introduce the plan and discuss Pacific workforce opportunities in the region. The event brought together Pacific leaders and workers, employers, industry and training providers to share experiences and reflect on local workforce needs. 

This report presents the insights gathered through that talanoa. It focuses on encouraging Pacific participation in key industries, addressing regional skill shortages and preparing for the future and next-generation workforce. The findings offer guidance for regional planning and workforce development.

Enabling the Tāmaki Makaurau Pacific Workforce Regional Talanoa Insights

This report presents insights from the Enabling the Tāmaki Makaurau Pacific Workforce Talanoa Event held at Tāmaki College. Pacific Year 10 learners, industry leaders, educators, and community stakeholders came together to explore how education and workforce systems can better support Pacific communities. Aligned with the Lumana’i o Tangata Moana Action Plan, the event encouraged collaboration and cultural alignment in vocational education and training (VET).
