Have your say – apparel and fashion technology

Hanga-Aro-Rau is seeking professionals in the apparel manufacturing industry to share their expertise and knowledge to help develop a new industry qualification and review existing qualifications.

As the Workforce Development Council for manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, we have been working with the apparel manufacturing sector and the association, Mindful Fashion, to understand current and future needs. The result is a project to develop a new qualification pathway for sewing machinists across the industry, to be developed alongside a review of the existing qualifications and standards.

We need industry experts to give feedback on developing this new micro-credential entry pathway for sewing machinists. We are also reviewing the existing apparel and fashion technology (garment-making) qualifications (listed below). And we need voices big and small!
