We are thrilled to advise the founding members of their Industry Stakeholder Group (ISG) had their first wānanga on Wednesday 29 June 2022, at the beautiful Te Noho Kotahitanga Marae at Unitec.

his was an opportunity for the newly appointed members to come together and share whakawhanaungatanga (relationship building) and learn more about Hanga-Aro-Rau’s mahi so far.

It was a fantastic, productive first meeting full of positivity and passion for our industries and Hanga-Aro-Rau’s role in the broader vocational education system. The ISG’s next steps are to confirm its Terms of Reference, appoint a permanent Chair and additional members, and confirm their workplan.

The ISG provides advice and feedback to the organisation’s Council on its strategic direction and performance and offers advice and information from an industry perspective. The ISG may also make future appointments to the Council. The formation of this group is a major part of Hanga-Aro-Rau’s transformation kaupapa and is mandated in our Orders in Council.
