Joe Hodkinson has 30 years of experience in industry, and vocational education related to industry. Having completed his automotive apprenticeship, he then went on to workshop supervisor/manager roles, supporting apprentices through their programmes. Following that, Joe shifted into the PTE sector as a kaiako and then on to MITO as a training advisor. This journey led him to apply for and accept a role at the newly formed WDC, Hanga-Aro-Rau in December 2021.

He is invested in provider success, and the flow-on success for learners as they begin their education journey within our industry sectors.

Joe’s interests away from work are guitar, mountain biking, reading, motorbikes, hiking, photography, and anything that does not involve a computer screen or cell phone.

Joe primarily works with providers in Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Manawatū-Whanganui, Nelson, Marlborough, Tasman and West Coast, along with some located in Auckland and Wellington.
