Council member Expressions of Interest for Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics Workforce Development Council now open

Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics Workforce Development Council wishes to co-opt one additional member.

Expressions of Interest are invited from industry leaders with significant governance experience who want to play a part in leading the industry-led Workforce Development Councils and creating new futures for all learners.

Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics Workforce Development Council wishes to co-opt one additional member.

Expressions of Interest are invited from industry leaders with significant governance experience who want to play a part in leading the industry-led Workforce Development Councils and creating new futures for all learners.

The new Workforce Development Council is enabling industry to have a greater leadership role in vocational education.

Hanga-Aro-Rau Council is able to co-opt one additional member. The Council has a requirement for an additional whakapapa Māori member who meets the general skills requirements for Council members.

The Council particularly welcomes applicants who have direct experience of vocational education and training and/or have an understanding of the experience of disabled people in employment and employers of disabled people.

Workforce Development Councils are new entities being set up to ensure industry and employers can have a strong voice as part of the unified vocational education system.  They will provide skills leadership, set standards, and develop qualifications. Workforce Development Councils will moderate and endorse the suitability of programmes that lead to relevant qualifications that both learners and industry need now and in the future. They will also provide vocational education investment advice to the TEC.
