Full exciting agenda released for Hanga-Aro-Rau Summit

We are hugely excited to unveil the agenda for the first-ever Hanga-Aro-Rau Summit: Mānuka takoto kawea ake – Rising to the challenge, taking place on Tuesday 22 November 2022. And it doesn’t get more thrilling than to have our opening address given by Education Minister, The Honourable Chris Hipkins!

Plus, as you will have no doubt seen in the media, our just-released research has found a critical skills shortage of up to 40,000 workers by 2028 is looming in our manufacturing and engineering sectors if immediate action is not taken – a key topic of discussion for our summit.

So, let’s take a look at the agenda in full or click here to open a downloadable, printable version.

Please note: registrations are now closed.

The day will start with a short formal pōwhiri from 8.15am which we warmly encourage you to attend. If you arrive after this ceremony commences, we will wait and gather together to enter the venue at 8.45am to join the coffee and whakawhanaungatanga, ahead of Minister Hipkins’ opening address.

Our agenda on the topics that matter to our sectors and brought to you by a dynamic group of presenters means this will be a truly unmissable day. Plus, we’ll be led through the event by our inspiring MC, the entrepreneur and innovator Shay Wright. His passions lie in combining social innovation and education with indigenous knowledge and contemporary business thinking.

If your plans have changed and you can no longer attend on Tuesday 22 November 2022, either virtually or especially in person at Pipitea Marae and Conference Centre, Wellington, please let our events tīma know immediately so we can release your place to someone else.
