Industry leaders with a passion for productivity, continuous improvement and operational excellence across all sectors – we need your expertise! November 7th, 2024 Through our Qualification and Technical Advisory Groups, made up of industry subject matter experts, you’ve told us that you would like Qualifications that are more recognisable and reflect the nature of what Competitive Systems and Practices means to you in the workplace. Industry has advised that changing the name of the Qualifications and creating Micro-credentials is necessary to address some of their key concerns such as recognition and understanding of what Competitive Systems and Practices means to businesses across all sectors. Concerns were also identified around learners needing to understand and apply waste concepts and productivity. Through the development of new micro-credentials learners will develop an understanding of waste concepts and productivity early and get formal recognition, benefiting all stakeholders. As a result of this feedback, we are proposing the below changes, and we want to know what you think. Title change to the Qualifications: New Zealand Certificate in Operational Excellence (Competitive Systems and Practices) L3 New Zealand Certificate in Operational Excellence (Competitive Systems and Practices) L4 New Zealand Diploma in Operational Excellence (Competitive Systems and Practices) L5 AND Two new Micro-credentials: Certificate in Waste Reduction in the Workplace Level 3, 5 credits Concepts and Principles of Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) Level 4, 10 credits (Note: these can both pathway into Qualifications) The aim of these Qualifications is to provide a product that will ensure a pathway for industry and leaners that will align to operational excellence in the workplace. We are now seeking feedback and interest from industry and stakeholders to ensure the Qualifications will meet the needs of the workforce, and we welcome experts to share their thoughts. Because what matters to industry, matters to us! Please provide your feedback through the survey or [email protected] if you have any questions. The survey will close on Friday, 22 November at 5pm.
