Working with our Qualification Advisory Group, made up of industry subject matter experts and training providers, we’ve been reviewing the New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Parts and Accessories (Level 3), to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.

Industry stakeholders have confirmed that the Level 3 qualification is generally working well. However, during a range of conversations, they have highlighted a need for a new qualification to support an automotive parts and accessories apprenticeship (Level 4).

As a result of this feedback, we are proposing a New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Parts and Accessories (Level 4), and we want to know what you think. Because what matters to industry, matters to us!

This qualification is designed to meet the evolving needs of the automotive industry by offering a recognised qualification tailored to parts and accessories specialists. This also further increases career and education pathways, improving attraction and staff retention for the sector.
