Hanga-Aro-Rau Workforce Development Council farewells General Manager of Corporate Services Maria Fuata this week, as she embarks on a remarkable new adventure overseas.

Maria leaves Hanga-Aro-Rau for an exciting new role as Deputy Director-General of Operations and Integration in New Caledonia with The Pacific Community, an international development organisation.

Since joining us in May 2022, Maria’s passion and expertise have greatly enriched our organisation. She has played a vital role in the growth of Hanga-Aro-Rau, setting us up with strong fiscal guidance, led our 2022-23 inaugural audit, and has provided unwavering support and guidance to the entire Hanga-Aro-Rau tīma.

We express our heartfelt mihi to Maria for the immense contribution she has made to Hanga-Aro-Rau. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have had her as an integral part of our tīma.

With Maria’s departure, two new positions have now been created: Corporate Services Manager (reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive) and Senior Business Advisor (reporting to the Corporate Services Manager). Applications for these roles are now being accepted, and close on Friday 21 July 2023.
