Hanga-Aro-Rau Consent and Moderation Requirements Now Live on the NZQA Framework September 17th, 2025 The Hanga-Aro-Rau Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR) are now live on the NZQA framework. We’ve combined 21 separate CMRs into one core document – CMR 0014 (version 15). This core CMR will now apply across all Hanga-Aro-Rau industries. Over time, as existing standards from the previous CMRs are reviewed, they’ll move into this single document. Key Updates: Consent Requirements General requirements have been aligned for greater clarity and consistency across all industry sectors. Moderation Requirements Language updated to reflect current best practice and ensure consistency across sectors. A reference and link to the Hanga-Aro-Rau annual moderation plan has been added to keep requirements current. Industry-Specific Detail CMR 0014 (v15) sets out the general requirements that apply to all Hanga-Aro-Rau sectors. It also includes 12 appendices with industry-specific criteria for: Competitive Systems and Practice Drilling Driving Extractives Fire Protection Heavy Haulage Maritime Irrigation Motor Industry Powered Industrial Lift Truck (Forklift) Printing Stevedoring and Ports From August 2025, all Consent to Assess applications, moderation activities, and existing consent holders must meet the updated requirements.
