Ko Ngāti Awa, ko Ngā Puhi ngā iwi. Ko Riki Ramanui tōku ingoa. I am excited to be joining the Whanake Māori – Māori Workforce Development team as the Māori Enablement Lead. This role is committed to embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Te Reo Māori and Mātauranga Māori across our functions, to ensure our kaimahi are prepared for the transition to Industry Skills Boards and enabling this essential focus to continue in the new system. Previous experience includes working in Wānanga and Kaupapa Māori Health sectors. I’m excited to advocate for the importance of te ao Māori – mātauranga, reo and tikanga within our mahi and ensure that our whānau Māori, learners and communities are able to flourish and succeed within the vocational education system.
