Upcoming Transition – Early Submission of Applications Encouraged June 25th, 2025 As you’ll be aware, the Workforce Development Councils will be disestablished on 30 December, and our functions will transition into the new Industry Skills Boards (ISBs) from 1 January 2026. To help ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities and to minimise any disruption during this change, we encourage providers who are considering submitting programme endorsement, consent to assess, or moderation materials (pre or post) to do so by the first week of October 2025 where possible. This timeframe allows our team the opportunity to: Finalise and return any outstanding moderation reports Address or resolve potential RFIs (Requests for Further Information) Complete any necessary handover of information to NZQA (as appropriate) We remain committed to supporting you during this period and will continue to process work received beyond this date. However, earlier submissions will help provide greater certainty and reduce the likelihood of delays associated with the end-of-year transition. If you have any questions or would like to discuss timelines for specific applications, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team on the contacts below: For programmes, including programme endorsement: [email protected] For qualifications: [email protected] For moderation: [email protected] If you’re not sure: [email protected]
