Through our Qualification Advisory Group, made up of industry subject matter experts, you’ve told us that you need a qualification to recognise the unique mix of skills and knowledge required to supply the transport engineering industry with quality, qualified graduates.

We’ve heard from industry that this qualification is necessary to support the sector in addressing some key concerns such as attraction, retention and training of staff, as well as recognition of the different skills required in the sector.

As a result of this feedback, we are proposing a New Zealand Certificate in Transport Engineering (Trade) (Level 4), and we want to know what you think.

The aim of this qualification is to provide the transport engineering industry with a bespoke career pathway for those new to the profession.

We are now seeking feedback and interest from industry and stakeholders to ensure the qualification will meet the needs of the transport engineering workforce, and we welcome experts to share their thoughts.  Because what matters to industry, matters to us!
